Samina, Muhim Chaskin Sar (Samina, Chashkin Sar Expedition)
There are few fields that have long been associated with bravery and men are generally
thought to rule these fields with their achievements. So, have expeditions been
associated to brave men who have the guts to take the challenge and reach milestones
in life and some people consider mountaineering is one of the bravest expeditions to
take on.
This documentary also tells a story of such bravery and resilience. But this time there
is not a man but a young girl, Samina Baig, who became the first Pakistani to reach
Chashkin Sar.
This is a mountain of 6,400 meters
(20997 ft) near Pakistan's highest
village, Shimshaal. No girl climbed Chashkin Sar before Samina.
Hailing from Shimshal, a high altitude place in North of Pakistan,Samia Baig's
expedition started with her brother Mirza Ali, who is a professional mountaineer. Born
and brought up in a family of mountaineers, Samina Baig could not get any formal
training so her exposure to tough life style of living in high mountains was all that
she could rely on. Lets discover in Geomentary, "Samina, Muhim Chashkin Sar", did Samina reach the Summit successfuly?
